Iakovos Fytanidis studied Medicine at the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), where he graduated in 2004 after six years of study. He specialized in Otorhinolaryngology in Athens, Greece at the P. & Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital and the General Hospital of Athens "G.Gennimatas". His love for children led him to London, where he attended the ENT Department, one of the most specialized hospitals in Europe in diseases of children, at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In April of 2013 he succesfully passed the exam specialist, and since then he practices Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery as a private practitioner. His areas of specialisation are Pediatric Otolaryngology, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), Ear Surgery, and Oncology of the Head and Neck. He is a registered Otolaryngologist at the General Medical Council (GMC), and a member of European Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ESPO) and European Rhinologic Society (ERS). Since November of 2013 is in charge for the Neonatal Hearing Program of the REA hospital.
